If there was ever a player who embodied New York sports it was 'Broadway Joe'.  He is best known for guaranteeing an upset win over the heavily favored Baltimore Colts 1969 AFL-NFL Championship game (Super Bowl III).  Namath delivered on his guarantee, leading the Jets to a 16-7 over the Colts. With his 12 years with the Jets he was a five time Prow Bowl selection and two time AFL MVP.
